GENERAL ASSISTANCE- UNEMPLOYABLE MANAGED CARE
The General Assistance-Unemployable (GA-U) managed care program operates statewide, in all 39 counties beginning 11-1-09. After becoming eligible for GAU at the DSHS Community Service Office, most GAU clients will automatically be enrolled into Community Health Plan (CHP), the next month. CHP of Washington provides the medical and mental health services for GAU recipients.
